LabView 2018 Keysight 33500B drivers

Solved!

Hello, I'm having a difficult time searching for LabView 2018 Keysight 33500B drivers. Every single driver I found was not working or not tested with my Keysight device and I always get the following error. I tried using agilent 33xxx driver but it didn't work. Also some drivers are not avaliable for my Labview version

A VISA timeout error usually means you have your instrument hooked up wrong (physical layer: USB, RS232, Network...) or the instrument is configured wrong.

Opening MAX and communicating directly with the instrument would be the first step in troubleshooting your problem.

Good luck

Frozen is right about the problem almost certainly being a connection issue, so look into that.  If you can't figure it out, post screenshots of your code and your NI-MAX setup with the "Devices and Interfaces" section expanded, and post details of how the device is hooked up to your PC.

However, just as a side note... driver version not matching LabVIEW version isn't a problem.  Just make sure that the version you download is the latest version that is the same or earlier version of the LabVIEW install you're using.  So if you're on LabVIEW 2022, get the 2021 version.  If you're on LabVIEW 2014 to 2018, get the 2013 version.

(And just completely ignore the NXG version...)

You might be prompted to resave the drivers after opening them in a newer version but besides that there is nothing wrong with older versions.

I downloaded the newest version of Labview on my laptop, got the newest drivers and everything works perfectly fine. I also think there was an issue with Computer on my University. I wasn't able to download the newest labview there because there was a problem with Windows version.

Tldr: the solution was to switch to the newest version of labview and get the newest drivers
