LabView Sound WDM Support

Hi guys,

Here is my situation:

I would like to pair an audio interface (http://www.rme-audio.de/en_products_fireface_800.php) with LabView to conduct AD (in) and DA (out) conversions. The interface I am looking at has WDM (windows) support.

The Sound VI states it needs Activex 8.0 and above to run. Would LabView be able to communicate with the audio interface through WDM?

Let me know if I can be furnishing more details.

We do not have any built in drivers that interface through WDM, but it looks like someone has created a toolkit that does.  This may work to communicate with your audio interface: https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-6613
