I am wondering if it is possible for LabVIEW 8.6 to interface with a desktop target running LabVIEW RT 8.5? I am having a problem with the interface between the two diffrent versions of LabVIEW, at the current time I am unable to update the desktop target computer to the newer version of LabVIEW RT because a number of my students dont have the new version of LabVIEW so they need to have LabVIEW RT 8.5 running on the target. I know it's possible to work on the 8.6 labview then save the project for the previous version of labview before deploying it on the target, I am wondering if it's possible to deploy the project directly without the need to save it for the previous version of LV.
The RT version on the target must match the RT Module version on the host, or you'll get Access Denied or Version Mismatch error or something like that.
