Labview code for agilent 4294a.

Hello everyone,

We want to interface the Agilent 4294a with labVIEW. We want to measure the CV loop, which will measure the CV in UP and DOWN directions in a single command. We would also like to save the data in an Excel file.

we have agilent 4294 an impedance analyser which can be used to measure capacitance vs voltage at different frequencies and capacitance vs frequency. currently we are measuring manually. we want to make labview program such that, we can measure capacitance vs voltage in different sweep directions simultaneously ( i.e. from positive voltage to negative voltage and one measurement from negative voltage to positive voltage) and the data can be retrieved in Excel sheet.

Suggestions:

  • Check the IDNet for device drivers and use that (if there is one).
  • When you don't find a device driver in IDNet then you may check the manufacturer website for a LabVIEW driver and use that…
  • When there is no device driver: get the programming manual for your device and create a device driver!

A good place to start would be to download the LabVIEW driver for it: Agilent 4294 Analyzer
