Licensing question

We are currently trying to ascertain the licensing situation of a DLL found under

http://www.ni.com/example/29394/en/

but are coming up blank.

Anyone have any ideas?  The source code doesn't seem to include any copyright or licensing information.  To my limited understanding, this would mean we'd have to imemdiately stop using this in our code, right?

I believe that by law if no specific license is listed it defers back to the author who reserves all rights automatically - meaning you would need to contact them directly for permission to use the code.

However, since it looks to be from NI under examples, it may fall under their sample code licence:
