MCP960X/ microchip Programming

Solved!
Go to solution

I am trying to program this in LABView, but I am relatively new. I have attached the data sheet, but just need some advice. How exactly do I write the data to a specific 'bit address',? should I use the VISA function instead? Do you have any tips about programming microchips in labview? anything will help, I appreciate the time.

Hi arosss,

you need some hardware capable of I²C communication.

NI offers some modules for that communication bus, but you can also use cheap devices like Arduino for that purpose…

Which hardware do you want to use?

Best regards,
GerdW

I have downloaded a couple I2C modules. But arduino's are also an option. I have downloaded this one off VI Package manager. I was just hoping for any tips that you may be able to provide. I am trying to get the hang of this.

Again thank you!

Hi arosss,

how can you download hardware?

About your attached image: why don't you ask the author?

To "get the hang" you should take note of the training resources offered in the header of the LabVIEW board.

Best regards,
GerdW
