Mass compile and "VI save version"

I'm doing migration of our source code from LV 2020 32bits to LV 2024 Q3 64bits.

As usual, I just used Tools>Advanced>Mass Compile and pointed to the top level folder. Recompilation took a while and seems like all vis/projects/classes were modified.

But there is something new in 2024, it has indicator of VI save version and mine says 20.0. The same is for the project in Project Explorer.

All our code is having Separate compiled code from source file flag set, and Source version in General properties of vi is displayed as 20.0

Why so, and does it make any difference for the code?

Update:

I opened Project Properties and changed Save version from 20 to 24. That caused all vis in this project to display "VI save version 24.0", but general vi properties still has Source version as 20.0

Why mass compile did not do that update? Should I update project properties individually for every project, or that "Save version" does not make any difference?
