NI-DAQmx simulated devices create a noisy sine wave for all analog input channels. You said you can see a sine wave? Maybe you selected a simulated device by mistake?
I would also recommending getting this all working in Test Panels before working with LabVIEW. Test Panels is designed for this sort of thing.
Please ignore my previous post, but yes you are correct! I was looking at a simulated DAQ device by mistake and now that I have my DAQ selected I am getting great data.
