Hi everyone,
I have a keithley 6220 and a 2182A. I control the 6220 via GPIB and the 2182 is connected with RS232 and trigger cable. I'm doing Delta measurments and it works fine. I'm also mesuring voltage only (i.e 0 A) on my nanovoltmeter 2182a through the GPIB6122 with the SCPI command SYST:COMM:SER:SEND <data>. I can configure, write and and read my buffer properly (I think...)
The problem I have is to make a voltage only measurement then a delta measurement. I have a Hardware missing error on my 6220; meaning that it can't see the 2182A. I think something is badly written in term of terminating the RS232 communication, or a controller order that I've missed but can't find anything...
Please Help.
Thanks

Hi
If you have the Hardware missing for 622x+2182 there is likely an error in the configuration of 2182. You cannot use both GPIB and serial interface with 2182 (afaik, in the same program).
First : I would setup the 2182 with serial communication, connect the serial cable between the Keithleys, add the trigger cable between the two. Then, press the Delta command on 6220, you should get a message, something like "Press TRIG to start", then Press Trig and see if it's working.
