Hi everyone,
For a regional project, which is meant for preparing high school students for their prospective studies in engineering, I give lessons to integrate LabView in LEGO Mindstorms. For this reason, the project sponsor purchased a LabView 2017 license for each student. This is how we proceed in the past years, but now the updated Mindstorms toolkit on ni.com is not available for the 2017 version. In the past years, the updated toolkit was already downloadable in late summer or fall.
So I would be happy to know if there is
a) any scheduled release date for the 2017 mindstorms toolkit or
b) a way to "downgrade" the LabView 2017 license to use the latest published version (2016) of that toolkit.
I look forward to your tips and hints!
Best regards,
Konne

Hi Konne,
as you can see here the latest Version for Lego Mindstorms is for LabVIEW 2016 and there are no plans for LabVIEW 2017 support for now.

To answer your second question. If a license has downgrade abilities or not depends on the license itself.
Student Editions have no downgrade option included and you will have to buy LabVIEW 2016 as well.
Full price LabVIEW has the ability to use every available previous version of LabVIEW.
I hope this helps.

Hi Dennis!
Thanks for your reply. Not the information I hoped for but after all a definitive bit.
I now tried to change the 2017 licenses to 2016 ones at the German distribtution. Hope to get well with this.
Best regards,
Konne
