Hi All,
I am trying to write a code for a laser beam striking the dual segment photodetector and want to read how much light is striking at either side of the detector. For example, if there is no gap between the two segments of the detector and laser is hitting in the centre, 50% light will be hitting at the top and bottom segments (see image 1). It is quite simple if we assume the beam is uniform but not for gaussian beam. Here I can easily change the gap between the segments, move the circular spot un and down and read the values.
Also, I have plotted a gaussian beam on an intensity graph. The difficulties I am facing are, 1) unable to move the beam up and down and 2) unable to draw two segments of the detector.
Any lead would be extremely helpful.
