NI Legacy DAQ 7.5 with MIO-16XE Error -10401

When i call the configure function for an MIO-16XE-50 card (In Labview8) I recieve an error -10401 when I call group configure. My googling, and forum searching has turned up little.

The most promossing was this dicussion that talks about device and channel ID's being different (My German isn't great).

the VI in question is saved and made for Labview Verion 8.

Problem update. I re-installed Labview 8.0 and now the error is -10040

Very few of us still have the obsolete driver installed and don't have the error codes. Can you attach the messages associated with these errors? Could you also provide the os version you are using?
