NI-Serial 21.5 can not installed on NI Linux RT 21.5

Hi Experts

1 we have 3 PCI-8431/8 installed on a x86 CPU PC

2 In order to get high fresh data rate, we need refresh captured data at 4000Hz rate, so

3 we plan migrate the OS from windows to NI Linux RT 21.5

4 when we install the x86 PC with NI Linux RT 21.5, we are blocked at install system image step since

5 we can not install NI Serial driver, so under remote device, we can only saw the PCI name, can not see the COM Port.

6 we think the problem come from we install the system image, because we can not found NI Serial selection as attached screenshot

7 we are sure the fill  ni-linux-rt-offline-installation-support-21.5_21.5.0_offline.iso package and ni-serial_21.5.0_offline.iso were installed.

the question is , when install system image, there is no NI Serial can selected, but when we read some documents or instruction,  should have this selection.

NI is not currently planning on supporting the conversion of desktop PCs to NI Linux Real-Time targets. Does NI Offer NI Linux Real-Time for Desktop PCs?

If you want to convert your desktop to real-time, use Pharlap instead. Creating a Desktop Real-Time Computer Running Phar Lap ETS

No! Your first link is about installing NI Pharlap on an NI PXI controller that was originally shipped with an alternative OS such as Windows Embedded and the second is about installing NI Linux RT on a NI PXI controller.

While NI did sell a runtime license for NI Pharlap so you could legally install it on your own specific types of PC, it has not yet made such an option available for NI Linux RT.
Even if you could get it to work, your system would be a violation of NI copyrights and your company lawyer would likely sack you immediately for doing so. Such liabilities are nothing a company wants to have on their hands.
