NI cDAQ 9172 hardware is not detecting while interfacing Lab View 8.5 in WIN7?

Hi friends

i am having NI cDAQ 9172 model and i'm interfacing it with Labview 8.5 software. But the DAQ is not detecting in my laptop windows 7 ulimate 32 bit operating system? what can i do now? Are any drivers to be installed additionally? If, what are the drivers? Else is it necessary to go lower version like Windows XP? Help me friends. What to do?

LabVIEW 8.5 is not supported on Win7 so if you can have a PC with XP or Vista I'd suggest to try with it.

But that might not be the only issue, you should have received a drivers CD along with your hardware, if not check what NI DAQmx drivers version are supported with LV 8.5 and get it from NI's website.

One last link, for your NI cDAQ 9172, the spec sheet says it requires NI DAQmx.
