I am a final year student from a university student from Singapore, and I am currently working on a final year project which was ran by a previous year. However I am not able to get his existing VI to run on the TEC Controller. This project basically is to run the VI to the TEC controller which will control the H Bridge Amplifier to heat and cool the TEC at the end.
First of all I have 0 knowledge of LabVIEW so pardon my writing if I have said anything wrongly.
The USB cable that I am using is URC-1020, I have already downloaded the driver from accuthermo website. The TEC controller is ATEC402. The H bridge Amplifier is FTX700D. If you need any attached VI or GUIs please let me know so I will upload.
Thank you in advance!

Sorry if I have offended you, my standard of English is definitely not in the best shape. I am genuinely asking for help, because I have zero knowledge of this product.

First of all, Labview was frequently used in data acquisation, so I wonder if it can be used for your kind of purpose;
And as you're willing to control the TEC, I'd like to recommend you to take PLC, which is a professional tool of process control.

Thanks for the advice and fast response. My seniors actually managed to use LabVIEW to run the entire project because the TEC Controller actually uses PID controls to run the TECs. The VI file in labview also controls an arduino board than regulates the water flow during the cooling of TECs.
If I were to use PLC instead as recommended by you, will I able to achieve the same results? Right now this TEC controller is able to control 6 TEC plates.
Thanks in advance!

Well, my colleagues were able to control the process of hydraulic test system by using PLC, so I guess it may help you, too.
But I'd like to get some basic knowledge about the software I will use, after all, they're just tools.
By the way, there's bunches of information the Internet, both for Labview and PLC.
So it's your choice!
May that help!

Hi Dominguez,
First of all I have 0 knowledge of LabVIEW
Then you should start to learn LabVIEW. NI offers a lot of (free) information on their website!
(It's your project and it's the tool you want to use to finish that project - so learn how to use it!)
because I have zero knowledge of this product.
We neither. You need to know "this product" to be able to control it…
(After all it's YOUR project - you should know what you are working with…)
I am currently working on a final year project which was ran by a previous year.
Ask the students from previous year to learn about their work. Read their thesis. Read the manuals they (hopefully) made for this stuff…
What exactly do you want from the forum? We cannot help on your setup as we don't know anything about it…
And it's your "final year project" and you will earn a degree for it so YOU need to work for it!
Otherwise you need to hire someone doing YOUR work - but you shouldn't tell your professor about that… (Sarcasm!)
