Does the original poster finally agree that these were NOT NI's VI's?

But of course you still have not posted the original top level VI that calls these and has the path information so that we can judge for ourselves where they came from. You haven't posted where you found these either.

Absence any proof from you that they were in an NI toolkit, we'll just have to draw our own conclusions.

Even though at this point it's trivial, where did you find these VIs?  Curious to know why you are so sure they aren't "Custom VIs?"

Or maybe the issue is really a difference in defining "Custom VI."  That's what I think is really the case.  To me, toolkits and 3rd party add-ons are custom as well as anything a software engineer develops "in-house."

Maybe we should ask the more proper question:

Do these VIs come with the original install of LabVIEW?

Yes exactly, they come with the original installation of LabVIEW, going to the definition of custom VIs for me is "anything a software engineer develops "in-house.""

Thanks

But of course, you are still unwilling to provide the path of the 'original installation' VIs.

So the 4 VIs you posted are part of the original LV install?  Just so we're on the same page.  If so, I believe the question has been answered once and for all.

The issue I have with this announcement is none of the VIs had help files, only context help.  Unless LV 5.x was thrown together, I would expect NI to have extensive help for each one.  Also, I would expect the VIs to have icons that are more than just plain text.  Those two elements scream custom, even in-house VIs to me...

However, this is just beating a dead horse.  It's just pure curiosity driving my discussion.  Feel free to abort at any time.  😉

Only proprietary if they are in-house VIs  😉
