The new path abbreviation option "abbreviate path" (dots in the middle) didn't work correctly on the system path control, it does however work on the silver path.
The issue is shown in the attached image in the upper path.
The issue disappeared when replacing the system control with a silver, classic or modern control.
The issue magically disappeared from the system path control after replacing the silver control with path abbreviation with the system control.
After this placing a new system path control was behaving as expected with correct abbreviation.

Hello Andre,
Thanks for your posting here.
If I use the System Path control and select a Path, then I will see something compatible which is at the other controls too. That is why I need more information how I can reproduce your problem and see the same behavior.
Thanks.
Best regards,

That is difficult since the problem disappeared after the first replace and it was the first time I used a system path control in LV 2012f1.
At this moment I believe that it only occurs with a new installation and a first time use of the system path control.
But as you might be able to imagine, I won't be reinstalling LV2012 to check if this is the case 😉

Hi Andre,
That would be great. I will hear it from you if there is any issue.

I think you didn't understand completely. I will NOT be re-installing LV2012.

Hi Andre,
I understand what you said and will not reinstall the LabVIEW. But I couldn't reproduce your problem in a new installation of LabVIEW. If I can help you more just let me know. Besides, maybe you can update your LabVIEW with the new patch via the link below.

The behaviour appears when the text font is too big for the filepath control
