Obtain Menubar Reference to Sub VI

Hey everyone,

I've seen this questions asked here before, but it's been a few years, so I figured I would ask again.

I have a parent VI that I want to modify the run time menu of a sub VI before that Sub VI actually runs.

I haven't found a way to get a reference to that VI's menubar, other than running it and writing to a global variable or something.
