PXIe 1209 clock synchronization using backplane 10Mhz clock

Hey guys,

I'm running astronics PXIe 1209 as function generator and PXI 5172 as scope on NI PXI 1092 chassis.

I fond that the time clock of fungen and scope is different; they are using their own VCXO.

do you know how to synchronize them? (with backplane 10MHZ clock?)

Apply a 10 MHz reference to one of the front panel inputs of the PXIe-1209. Define that input as a reference clock input using the instrument driver. That 10 MHz will now be what the PXIe-1209 channel is referenced to. The pulse generator clock should not drift from the timing of another instrument such as a scope that is referenced to the same clock.
