Polhemus Fastrak

I am trying to work out a system to measure range of motion using both the polhemus fastrak and several potentiometers and strain gages. I want to use Labview to synchronize the data from all of these items and output it to an excel file. So far I only have the potentiometer worked out so far, I still need to buy strain gauges to play with.

So in the mean time, I wanted to go ahead and tackle the polhemus problem. I have been using polhemus with a USB connection. It does have an RS-232 cable connection on it though, I am just not sure whether I have that cable laying around. No big deal if I need to buy one though.

I have an NI cDAQ-9278 and 5 NI 9237s for my pots and strain gages.

When we ordered the equipment we spoke on the phone with a representative who assured us that this all could be done.... I just have no idea how

There's a doctor I work with who knows how to get polhemus working with matlab, but we aren't using matlab. He might be able to get some of this, but he's on call all the time and crazy busy otherwise so I'm pretty much on my own for the majority of the time so I need to figure this out.

In case it will help, here's what I have so far for my potentiometer reading. I only have one hooked up now on the calibration jig, but I will eventually have 10 pots and 10 strain gages.
