Hi Ewan,

What versions of LabVIEW and SignalExpress do you have installed, and what order did you install them in? In order for this palette to show up properly you should have matching versions of LabVIEW and SignalExpress. As well, in order to ensure that everything is properly linked you should install LabVIEW before the drivers.

Please try repairing your SignalExpress installation to populate the Functions Palette. If this doesn't resolve the error, then more information on your installation and version would help us to troubleshoot this further.

Have a good day!

Hi Emily

Thankyou for your responce to my post.

As best as I can recall the order of instalation and versions is as follows:-

1) We had SignalExpress 2012

2) I updated the drivers, NI-Max etc

3) Installed SignalExpress 2013 and Labview 2013 version 13.0f1 (32-bit), not sure which order I did them in.

4) Re-ran the driver setup, but message window states that drivers are upto date and only option is to exit.

5) Re-ran SignalExpress setup

I am thinking that maybe I should uninstall all the NI software and reinstall from the begining so I can install the drivers last?

Thanks for your assistance

Ewan

Hi Ewan,

Uninstalling and reinstalling in the right order would ensure that everything was properly associated. However, I don't think that should be necessary yet in your situation. Please go to Control Panel > Programs and Features > National Instruments Software to see the full list of National Instruments software you have installed. From here you should be able to select any individual installation from the list and select "Repair". Instead of just seeing that something is already installed and exiting, this should go through the installation and check for corruption. As well, this should add the correct associations if they were currently missed due to the order of installation.

Please try running a repair of SignalExpress 2013 and restarting your computer, then check to see if the functions palette in LabVIEW is fully populated.

Thanks!
