It has been about 2 year since I set up our Ametek Reflex Ethernet power supplies. So I went to check out our set up.

I did not set them up in MAX. and they do not show up in MAX.

At the moment the test sets are all running 72 hours test so I can't play around with the set up to try to duplicate your error.

But ...

Can you use either of the these to open a VISA ref to your device.

TCPIP0::<ip address>::inst0::INSTR

TCPIP0::<ip address>::<port>::SOCKET

Can you use the DOS tracert command to find your device?

tracert -d -h 2 -w 500  192.168.255.255

If you can, attached is the VI I use that uses Tracert to find my power supply and obtain an open ref to them to communicate with them.

Do you think I even need to use VISA?  What is the purpose of VISA? 

I downloaded the Ethernet IP add on.  Maybe this add on is all I need.
