Prevent dragging a graph in one direction

I'd like to prevent a user from dragging a graph around in a single direction.  For example, I want to limit it so that the user cannot drag a graph beyond the end of the current data set.  Currently, if the user gets to the end of a data set, they can continue dragging.

Not sure what you mean by data set but if you want user not to drag the graph when vi is running do following:

Left click your graph indictator- Make sure it is selected( dotted lines around the borders)

While graph is selected, click reorder function in the toolbar so the dropdown menu appears. Choose lock in the drop down menu. The user can now not change the position of graph unless the graph is unlocked.
