Another trick for Enum's is how to transfer an array of strings to the Enum Control, for some reason LV 2015 and older, does not allow this on the same VI.
I found this trick using a simple ring - then replacing it with an Enum ring - and Voila!. LV copies the string list over from the Ring to the Enum.
