Pulse measurement

Helo Guys currently Im working in overhauling old training modules, but I have hit a brick wall the problem that Im having is that I currently im working with a flow sensor that creates pulses depending on the flow of the liquid, the problem that im having is that currently im using  a CDAQ 9174, with analog module during my research I found that this model DAQ9174 doesnt allow for counters, and decided to use analog input to measure but no sucess do you guys have any ideas

Hi Javier,

where did you read that the 9174 doesn't have counters on board? It has 4 of them and you can use them to create a pulse counter based on that with basically any DI module that has a fast enough front end.

Even with an AI you should be able to implement a pulse counter: Just take measurements and compare to a threshold value to detect rising edge, then increment. Where exactly is your brick wall?
