RAD - Deployment of my image fails

Are you able to deploy applications to your device from LabVIEW?

It would be great to know if this is an issue deploying your program with RAD or if you can't even deploy a basic test program in LabVIEW.

Also, I would highly advise making your own new post instead of piggybacking off this old one. That will increase the level of attention to help you get an answer.

I had the same problem today updating a system. In my case it turned out that there was a folder which was corrupted in som way which made it impossible to delete over FTP.

Formating the drive of the cRIO from MAX before deploying the image solved the problem in my case.

Hi.

I try to use the RAD to compare what is running on a cRio with what seems to be the source project on a PC. Is there a way to debug or see if any of the files on the PC or the cRio is user or password protected so the RAD fail?

Also the RAD utility. Is there any user manual/function description for this?

Thanks.

Once you have set your target and application image in RAD, click on Deploy (left arrow). A new window "Deploy Application Images" will open, where you'll see something like "Verifying system persmissions". When it's done, navigate to
<your user folder>\AppData\Local\Temp and look for a folder named lvtemporary_xxxxxx.rad. Go there, and then to the subfolder "lvappimage.contents". That subfolder contains the entire uncompressed image that is to be deployed. Delete the file "nisyscfg.niauth.bin". Now go back to the "Deploy Application Images" window and click on "Deploy Image to Listed Targets". That should do it.
