You said that it is possible to close the pop up Vi with he one-, two- and three-button dialog VIs, but I don't see how to do this. I am trying to close my pop up Vi using the "Esc" button

You actually "Hijacked" a Hijacked Thread

so, yes I split the thread to a new thread.   You want the ESC key to shut down a vi...... the best advice I can give you is to use a "Filter Event?" on a "Key Down?" and look for the scan code of ESC  Yeah, that would be a "1" on most keyboards
