Read data from digital temperature sensor

Solved!
Go to solution

I am newbie.

I have digital temperature sensor CON-TSIC type TO92 (3 pins) with one digital connector - 11 bit

http://www2.produktinfo.conrad.de/datenblaetter/500000-524999/502186-da-01-de-TSIC_206_TEMPERATURSENSOR_TO92.pdf

Labview 8.6 and NI USB-6211.

How can I read  current digital value from sensor (all 11 bits)?

I have connected digital connector with PFI0/P0.0(In) (PIN 1) connector of NI-USB but I read only zero values.

Thank you.

My german is not so strong any more. But it looks like your sensor output is digitale. If this coorect your meusurement system is quite useless. You have to get a sensor with analog output. But if you fix that minor detail, you will get some meanfull output i hope. How do power your senser. I am asking because as in all measurement settings, your daq unit and temprature sensor must have some sort of common ground (GND)

Besides which, my opinion is that Express VIs Carthage must be destroyed deleted

Is it possbile to aquire signal from this sensor?

With +5 V digital sensor works properly and shows 1 - OK.

But from sensor - none.

hellboy,

You need to find a datasheet that details how the data is transmitted from the sensor.  Your 6211 should be able to read this sensor.

This sensor has a digital output. NI USB-6211 is DAQ unit. You must have a sensor with analog output. This is not hard to get. Ask the people who sold you your current temp sensor

6211 has digital I/O and internal counters that can be used to read this signal.
