Does anyone else find that the VISA Find Resource function used

takes a long time (8 seconds for me) to execute ?   Even when the list is empty it still takes that long to excute which seems unusually long.

Through MAX, find NI-VISA in the Software section of the tree.  In the subwindow's tree, go to General Settings->Remote.  Disable all remote systems and save.  This cut my search time from ~8 seconds (likely a timeout trying to find the remote resource) to nearly instant.

Thank you !  I just checked and MAX was not configured to auto find resources on any of my remote systems which may be why in the meantime I found that removing my VISA aliases and letting MAX regenerate them seemed to work fine for me as per:

My VISA com port search time is now nearly instant too.
