Can you provide a step-by-step description on how to reproduce the error?
I tried with a little "empty" approach with no avail. It works as expected.

Im just doing the following
Edit > Run TIme Menu
in the new window
Select custom >Application Item > File > Entire Menu (can select anything here, makes no difference)
then
File > Save As (mtoc.rtm in this case, same directory as the vi it is for)
Close out window
Select Yes in the "change runtime menu to MTOC.rtm" popup
File Save on the main VI then produces the two errors above, one after the other

That's pretty much the same what i did, except i used a blank VI. Can you verify if the issue is connected to EVERY VI on your machine or connected to specific ones?

This happens in every VI, in every project i have tested as well.

Can you please run a repair install on your LV 2014 installation?

After a very long and boring afternoon of swapping what feels like 500 different versions of labview instrument driver discs for the instalation repair, it is done, and now working as expected
thanks for the help Norbert
