I found the driver on NI website (plug & play (project style)). Can't get it to work with ethernet. It looks like you don't have to do anything if you are using Serial port, but the problem is that I only have ethernet on the scope. I'm not really sure where to start. In the Visa Resource Name drop box, I changed the Visa Class I/O sessions to TCP/IP Inst. ( I did this in all subvis) and this did not help with anything. Any sugestions? where do I start?

Were you able to get it working in MAX? This should always be your first step (not trying to get it working in LabVIEW from the start). I read back through the post but I didn't see your answer to Dennis as to whether or not it's working in there.

I did, works great. In the future I will always look into MAX first.

I am using TDS3034B and the only module to connect this scope with PC labview is through LAN Ethernet.
I tried many things i could find from the internet and none of it solved my problem. NI MAX still not able to communicate with the scope.
1) I tried configure scope IP to 192.168.1.1.
Then, create TCPIP resource via MAX but can't when i used Auto-Detect or Manual Entry the host IP.
2) try to ping using cmd.exe and same thing happened. "could not find the host IP".
Anyone can help?

What is the IP address of your computer?

I am not sure my PC IP address.
But i did configure the local area connection's properties in TCPv4. I tried again just now. it showed unidentified network after i changed the IP to 192.168.1.2. What does it mean?
