I have several cRIO chassis with OOP code, sending data to a central repository. I have also configured the project to run the FPGA and controller code as simulations (using the "Execute VI on Development Computer with Simulated I/O" option in the project). Works great, no problems.
But, the project requiress a large number of cRIOs. Before buying so many, I want to run simulations of that large number at the same time, using a *lot* of memory. So, I am thinking about using Win7 64-bit with LV2012 64-bit + RT + FPGA.
Is it possible to do simulations of FPGA code and OOP controller code in 64-bit mode? I did run across this link from a year ago:
http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/3FFBBE3882F3EE1C862579E9005BBCC1
but it does not discuss running simulated hardware.
We are using cRIO-9025 controllers with cRIO-9118 backplanes, and the modules are 9203, 9217, 9237, and 9422.
Thank you for your help.

See http://www.ni.com/white-paper/10383/en. The FPGA toolkit is not currently available for the 64-bit version of LabVIEW. You can run the 32-bit version on a 64-bit operating system, but you will be subject to the memory limitations of the 32-bit version.
