Simulation Interface Toolkit Error 1003

Hi everyone,

for a research project I have to combine a Simulink model with a Realtime target ( a cRio9047). Therefor I use Labview 2011 with the Simulation Interface Toolkit.
I have created the Simulink modell and the necessary DLL and OUT file. Then I used the SIT Connection Manager to link the Simulink Modell and the Labview Vi with the cRio.
After that I tried to run the Vi, but I get these error message:

Error 1003 occurred during host VI initialization: Test170413.vi >> NI_SIT_sitclient.lvlib:sit Init Model.vi >> NI_SIT_sitclient.lvlib:sit Connect to Target.vi
<append>=========================
Simulation Interface Toolkit: The driver VI (Test170413_Driver.vi) is not executable.
Check the following:
1) You have not modified the driver VI.
2) You properly installed SIT and any necessary driver software on the target.
3) The target has not been locked from Measurement and Automation Explorer.
Do you want to launch the SIT Connection Manager dialog box and reconfigure the simulation?

I tried to run different Simulink Models and different Vis on different computer, but every time I got these error.

Now I found, that in the ..._Driver.lproj, there are references to the SITs Model List.vi and the SIT Log Signal FG OP.ctl. Both files do not exist, even after I searched for them at the entire computer. Even the path (C:\perforce\...) where Labview says they should be do not exist.

Does anybody knows how to fix these kind of problem?

Thanks for your effort.

Hi mordred199,

i have two documents that solved that error in some other service request.

Could you please try these steps.

The first document you can find in the link below:

https://www.ni.com/docs/en-US/bundle/labview-simulation-interface-toolkit-api-ref/page/lvsithowto/si...

Further possible solution you can find in the image attached below.

Hi AndreasKr,

thank you for your advice but unfortunately, it didn't work.
I've tried the solutions in both documents. The solution in the first document had no effect, despite of the fact, that some of the described options were not selected.
The cases 1 and 2 of the second document, who should work without an error, also created the error 1003, cause of the missing files.

But thank you for your effort.

Hi,

any news concerning your problem?

Which LabVIEW Version do you use?

I ask because there is a known Bug in LabVIEW 2009.

Could you please list me all our used Software and the versions?

And could you also work through the tutorial please?

thanks a lot

Hi,

the problem is still not fixed. But I found these thread https://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/Strange-References-in-SIT-2009/m-p/2407128#M744493, what looks very similar to my problem. So I looked in the SIT Look Up Model Signal.vi and found some strange source code. After I deleted this source code the reference to SIT Log Signal FG OP.ctl disappeared. But the reference to SITs Model List.vi still exist and I don't find the Vi, which creates this reference.

I'm using Labview 2011 (32 bit) on a Windows XP computer. The SIT Version is 11.0 and I'm using Matlab R2011b.
Where do I find a more detailed list of the used software?

I tried the tutorial and it also didn't work.

Hi mordred199,

i found another service request where the same error 1003 occured.

In that case SIT was not installed on the cRIO. Could you verify if all

needed components are installed on your cRIO.
Maybe you could reinstall the cRIo and try it again.

regards,

Andreas K.

Hi AndreasKr,

we have two cRio 9074 in our laboratory and on both the SIT Connection Manager is installed. Here a picture of the installed software:

Software.jpg

All necessary software should be installed, but maybe you see something that is missing.
The cRios have been also reinstalled several times, but it didn't help.

Hi,

as you discussed with my colleague the MathLab Version R2011b is currently not supported.

The highest version that is supported with our LabVIEW 2011 and LV SIT 2011 is "MathLab R2010b"

Sry that we do not have better news for you in that case.

Thanks a lot

Hi,
i have now retried the whole procedure with Matlab R2010b, Simulink R2010b, Real Time Workshop R2010b, Labview 2011 and SIT 2011. Mircosoft Visual C++ 2005 and 2008 are also installed on the Computer.
But despite the fact that this combination should work, the error 1003 still occur when i try to run the vi.

Greetings,
