Slow text write to clipboard

To write string consisting of 10.000x "Hello World" takes around 6sec on my machine - is it expected result limited by system or is there some problem I don't see?

It takes less than 100ms on my pc. A 2GHz Centrino dual core with 2GB of RAM running Vista.

Takes only 50ms only my laptop if not counting the time creating the string.

I tried different computer and it's question of ms on it(Atom, WinXP). So I guess it's just something on this particular PC. Thanks for those quick replies.

You may want to scan for Spy ware. The clipboard is one of those things that Spy-ware would be watching and logging.
