I have a solenoid, part number 527-1022-ND, that I need to hook up to an NI Elvis DAQ and an external power supply. I want to create a LabVIEW program that senses a sound input using a microphone and when a certain frequency is reached the solenoid will actuate, any suggestions of how to do this?

You will definitely need some kind of amplifier or driver. The solenoid requires 24 V at 0.6 A. If you have circuit design skills, building a driver with an inexpensive power MOSFET will not be too difficult.
Another possibility is some thing like the DRV102, also available from Digi-Key. You will still need to assemble the circuit and add some external diodes to protect the device from inductive spikes.

I want to connect the solenoid to a 6236B triple output power supply to power the solenoid and use a switch to control if the solenoid is active based on if a certain frequency is inputted into a microphone
