Strange string constant

I found this on my diagram today:

Hiding the Display Style, showing the scrollbar, Ctrl-clicking on the Run button, nothing changes anything to the big wart on the left...

And here is another one:

Both seem to work OK for me.

You mean if you drag the snippet into a diagram, you don't get these bizarre, fat edges?

The appearance for both the snippets are wiered compared to the normal string constant

Does this behavior occur when you place a new string constant on your diagram? Have you been able to reproduce it beyond the two cases you’ve posted?

Yes, dragged to my own diagram, they look as bad as the snippet. Strange....

Looks like someone tampered with the default string control. Usually you don't have the advanced - customize... option enabled on the default string constant. If you opened it and make some small changes like setting it to justify or making it wider. Then when you apply changes it goes back to normal.
