Hi there

Have you tried Right Click->Help? The documentation should give detailed information about the math used in this VI.

Best regards
chris

1. right clik -> help

2. read the "TFA STFT Spectrogram" header section and click the "details" link

3. read the "TFA STFT Spectrogram Details"section and click the "STFT" link for further details about STFT

4. You are then guided to the "TFA STFT" documentation

repeat 2. + 3. for "TFA STFT" documentation

There's the formula.

Best regards
chris

This is the formula for the STFT coefficients but not for the spectrogram.

I ask for the formula for the spectrogram!

Documentation of "TFA STFT Spectrogram.vi" says:

"The STFT spectrogram is the square of the magnitude of the resulting coefficients from the STFT".
