TTL signal with NI 9381 device

Hi,

I want to control a TTL input with the NI 9381. It allows you using a digital output.

I have measured the output signal and it was 2.8 V. The control has failed and I think that 2.8 is not enough to control a TTL input.

The device specifications:

Output high, VOH Sourcing 100 µA..................2.7 V

Could anybody help me?

What is the specification of your signal sink?
What do you want to drive with your digital output?
Best regards,

Hi GerdW, thank you for answer.

I want to turn on and off an equipment. The equipment manual says: The voltage applied to the REMOTE BNC connector must not exceed 5.5 V.

So, I want to send 0 or 1 (0 or 5 V) to turn on and off.

I do not know if I have answered your question. If have not done, ask me again, please.

Best regards

Hi srglzal,

when you want a 5V output signal you should

- at first read the manual, especially page 20, with the specifications of your module

- then build a small amplifier to convert from LVTTL to TTL levels…

RTFM!

Best regards,
GerdW
