Tdk lambda power supply RS485 (Lan) type communication through compactrio

Hi,

I have some doubt in compactrio 9045 RS485/RS232 port. Iam trying to communicate with tdk-lambda power supply through rs485/rs232 in this power supply rs485 is rj45 connector.

How can I verify rs485/rs232 port is connected or not and tdk lambda power supply (model no Zup60-3.5) can able to program via LV using compactrio.

This RJ45 connector is just a different kind of plug, it does not influence the RS485 communication…

The same way as if the TDK device would use a standard DSub9 connector: either you can successfully establish a communication or you get errors when trying to…

Which "doubt" do you have in this port? Don't you trust the manual you got from NI?

When I tried ASRL2::INSTR this port it shows error. 

1. I connected same pin connection for tx+/- and rx+/-. Both cRIO and tdk lambda.

2. I used ASRL2::INSTR as com port for RS485 communication. I dont no what I made wrong r not.

3. How can I use crio rs485 port. Provide any example for compactrio.

1. Usually you should connect Tx of one device with Rx of the other…

2. Is this the correct VISA name for this port?

3. Did you install VISA on your cRIO? Did you read the manual of your cRIO? It mentions where to find example VIs!

so, 1.compact rio tx+/- connected to other device as rx+/-. like that you saying.   

      2.i checked the port in ni max it shows 485
