The MAX database exited abnormally

I have looked at similar subject lines and none of the fixes solved my problem.  I am getting: The MAX database exited abnormally.  I had LabVIEW 2010 installed origianlly and installed the 2013.  It was running well until today and my computer is not seeing my devices.  I started MAX and see this is the issue.  I tried the Corruption repair process and that did not work (I even downloaded the executable and that didn't work)  I tried repairing my 9.7.5 DAQmx and that didn't work.  I even uploaded the patches for NI Scope and NI DAQ but to no avail.  Any suggestions?  I uninstalled 2013 and just have my 2010 on now and that didn't work..

Am I going to have to uninstall all of my LabVIEW programs and reinstall?  This is frustrating...

Disconnect all devices. Then start up NI-MAX.

Hi ncm,

Try unplugging all devices and then resetting the MAX configuration database (Tools>>Reset configuration data).  Just FYI, this will delete all tasks, global virtual channels, scales, and devices in MAX, though the latter will repopulate when you restart your computrer and plug your devices back in.

If this doesn't help, then try force reinstalling NI System Configuration.

This is the link to the most recent version:  http://www.ni.com/download/ni-system-configuration-14.0.1/5014/en/

This is how to force reinstall software:  http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/ADD22E807D5A12AD862579EC00760F79
