I have been uninstalling all my LV components for the last several hours, and should be ready to perform a fresh install in the morning.  My fingers are crossed as well.

Well, I'm preparing to implement the "Guaranteed Method" when all goes awry, the one that begins "First, reformat the C: Drive".  As my sources are at work, I've powered off my (really sick) desktop, said a silent "Thank You" to my data backups, and am looking forward to a "new, clean system".  I expect that by the end of this week, I'll have this machine back in service.

That's definitely what I would call a nuclear solution, but if your timeframe can support it, I wish you luck.

I completed a full NI uninstall and 2017 reinstall.  So far, so good, after updating DAQmx to 17.1.  I'll know more when I've had an opportunity to test some driver installs, and run some applications.

I have had lots of problems installing 2017 (fall) even on top of 2017 (spring).  Digital Filter Design tooklkit never 'takes' for one thing.
