Third-party FTP Server on PXI Linux RT controllers

I would like to avoid replacing FTP with WebDAV since the PXI controller is not connected to Internet.

I have read/studied the NI knowledge page "Using FTP With an NI Linux Real-Time Target" (Using FTP With an NI Linux Real-Time Target - NI). I still have the question if a third-party FTP Server really would work on a PXI Linux RT controller. Does anyone have any experience?

All PXI Linux RT is installed with NI Linux System Image. It has SSH enabled by default. You can use SFTP with FileZilla. See Tools Available for File Transfer/Access on NI Linux Real-Time Targets
