Time Domain

Greetings to the whole community,

I have a small project to do for school in labview that sounds like "a virtual tool for the study of the oridin II system in the time domain". I would greatly appreciate the help, because I don't know what to do and where to look.

Thank you!

So what is the "oridin II system"?  Time domain is just looking at voltages as they occur.  In contrast, frequency domain takes the time domain and performs an FFT on the waveform to see the spectrum content.

I love how academea uses such big words... Anyway think about this:

An oscilloscope displays signals in the "time domain".

A spectrum analyzer displays signals in the "frequency domain".

That's about all the help we are going to be since we don't know what the "oridin II system" is nor do we have any information other than something that sounds like the title of the assignment.

Hi, thanks for the reply, any help is welcome. "Second-Order Control System"

I assume a "virtual tools" is probably a simulation that does not involve any hardware.

So what problem do you have?

  • The theory of this control system?
  • Programming it in LabVIEW?

Do you just have plain LabVIEW or also things like the control and simulation module?

What are the project requirements? What are the controls and indicators? What does it "control"?

😂 I'm sorry for laughing, and I know you're not joking, but we are asking you to be more specific about your assignment.

We already know this is homework and we won't just do it for you, but it might be best if you just copied the text of the assignment and posted it here.
