Time Measurement using accelerometer

I am developing a LabView vi that will calcuate impact attenuation, using a light gate to calculate velosities and and accelerometer to calculate Gmax and HIC criteria. So far all is going well, until I attempt to extract Gmax data from the accelerometer data. Does anyone have experiance with this? Any suggestions? I feel if I can obtain the time value from the beginning of deceleration of the impact to the end of deceleration I will be able to make the needed calculations, but have not figured out how to do this yet. Thank you for your assistance.

I do not know the details of your accelerometer data but you may be able to use

Wavefomrs>>>Waveform operations>>>Waveform Min Max.

It should return th max value and the time of same.
