Hi
I am trying to move one of my LabVIEW applications into CompactRIO format to make it portable.
I know that with more expensive CompactRIO cRIO-9030, I can connect touch screen monitor to mini display port and have my LabVIEW application run in embedded UI, which I could control.
But I can do the same or something similar with cRIO-9063 option? What do I need to do to have touch screen monitor of some kind connected to it for me to be able to control my application?
If monitor can't be directly connected to cRIO-9063.... can I use something like raspberry pi or another small platform as a host PC to control cRIO-9063 via Ethernet and then have monitor connect to raspberry pi?

hi,
this depends on what you are going to do on the processor. What will be the CPU load and will be engough space to host a user interface, but since there is no display on the unit: I wouldn't go there. Ideal you could look at a simple touch pannel PC (please validate if the operating system of these are suitable for the LabVIEW runt time engine, for example ((older one) XP embedded isn't supported) and communicate to the cRIO through ethernet.
I once looked at a simple user interface. So a simple touch screen with just a few knobs and indicators. There are a simple touch panels (I believe 150 euro) which you can program pretty simple through software delivered along with it. I once had a look here: https://www.matrixorbital.com/
WIth this solution you can communicate through RS 232. Please notice: I looked at this solution, but the project nevere cam through so I never used it. But it seemed a good solution to me.
Best regards,
