Transfering Data from labview to simulink

Iam using a labview at my school's lab, the lab has the following hardware

NI Elvis board with a built in DAQ

MATLAB and Simulink

I controlling a stepper motor using labview and I want to transfer the data from labview to simulink for the analysis of my system.

I know that there is a labview simulink toolkit availabe which is expensive-and I need to know if there is way to transfer all the essential data from labview to simulink without using this expensive interface.

Unfortunately, the way to accomplish your task is to use the Simulation Interface Toolkit.
