Tree Control shortcut menu activation event with touch screen

Hi

The shortcut menu activation event in a tree control doesn't work with a touch screen.

It only triggers when we right click(right click in touch screen means click and hold) in the + or - signs, not in any other place.

Any ideas to solve this? Or any similar experiences?

Also the on mouse down event can't be used because 2 events are triggered for the right mouse click (the first output=1 (left mouse click) and  a second output=2 (right mouse click)) , but for this I can use the mouse up event.

Hi IDILIO,

Thank you for posting on National Instruments Forum,

Looking at the context help (Ctrl+H) on the event "Shortcut Menu Activation?", you will see that it is "Generated when the user right-clicks a control to display the shortcut menu".

So the behavior you encounter  is the normal one.

Have a nice day,

Flo

Sorry Florent A. but I can't understand your answer. The user is right-clicking in the control and the shortcut menu doesn’t appear! Its happening exactly the opposite of what is described in the context help.Clicking in the + or - signs works, but clicking in any other place (inside the control, OBVIOUSLY!) doesn't work. It works ok with the mouse. Idílio
