Unicode issues in LabVIEW 2022 Q3

Don't use unicode in Labels. Captions are for language specific text for e.g. operators.

We don't. Especially since 2022 Q3 there's new pop-up dialogue that prevents to do that (although it can be bypassed easily). But there are many other issues with localized texts, like an unreadable stuff appearing instead of meaningful text in various areas of LabVIEW, e.g. when displaying an One Button Dialog or MessageBox from Windows API. To me it looks like some functions are adapted (and forced) to work with 2-byte strings, but some others are not. It would be a way better if such innovations could be disabled by an ini token, but I didn't find anything useful.

As far as I see, this issue has been fixed in LabVIEW 2023 Q3 Patch 1, that is already available to download.

I dont see an LV2023Q3 patch 1 in the labview download lists. The issue was also claimed as resolved in LV2023Q3 so I'm somewhat concerned... but who knows.

It's automatically chosen when you download LabVIEW 2023 Q3 now I believe. If you want to see it on the list, on the LabVIEW download page select "No" in the "Driver Software Included" Dropdown. And then select "Install Offline". Then you should see the patch listed:
