Up convert and two missing files

Hello,

I'm a beginner in LabVIEW. I've started working with LabVIEW 2010. I have a measurement setup including a Dynamic Signal Analyzer for low freq. noise measurement.

I have a program created in older version of labview and I need to open it in 2010 version for measurement purposes.

There are couple of vi files in it. I already opened the main file called "UM3561B-Final.vi" through the trial version of labview 8, but I cannot open the rest because that session is already expired. There are also error messages that I receive when I run the main file and my understanding is that either Im missing two files or there are some tools in the file which are not supported by this version (2010). This is what I was told by an expert.

I'm wondering if you could help me with

1st understanding what file (inter block) I'm missing in this file so that I can create it again.

2nd How I can run other files in Labview 2010.

I attached the whole files I have.

Regards,

Who was this "expert"? I think they may need to reconsider that title. You have several issues. The archive you uploaded decompresses into two folders: "NOISE" and "UMHP3561". In the "NOISE" folder there is another copy of the "UMHP3561". The first issue is that the files in the "UMHP3561" folder are written in LabVIEW 5. That version is too old to open VIs in LabVIEW 10. The second issue is that the copy you have in "NOISE\UMHP3561" contains files that are written in LabVIEW 4. Again, too old to open in LabVIEW 10. You should only have one UMHP3561 folder, and whichever one you pick, you can post a request in the Upconvert Requests Thread to get the VIs updated so you can open them in LabVIEW 10.

Now, as far as the 2 individual files in the "NOISE" folder, "strip_whitespace.vi", and "UM3561B-Final.VI", I was unable to even load these, as it appears they are corrupted. Do you have a second copy?

Thanks alot for the respond.

The main file is UM3561B-Final.VI which is version 5 right? The rest are sort of libraries or sub files that I need to addem up when loading. Am I right?

I was able to open this main file but with errors which is I think in relation to the other two files which I'm not sure what they are.

I'm sending this again to you.

Thanks again for help.

I have no idea. I can't open the VI. I get an error "LabVIEW: File is not a resource file." This is usually indicative of a corrupted file. Instead of uploading the archive again just upload the two files I mentioned that are in the "NOISE" folder.

Yes, but you don't need two copies of the "UMHP3561" folder. One is enough. And in order to open it in LabVIEW 10 you need to have it resaved using an intermediate version of LabVIEW.

Thank you very much.

A friend of mine has LabVIEW 8 and I'm gonna try see if I can open it up there.
