Updated control value inside event structure

Hmm... I am not into full blown labview programming since few years, so that SR was still a new acronym for me... 😉 But I got it now. And yea, I agree with that. That's why I am using more SRs now, than before. I learned it after studying book and help etc. and suggestions by fellow forum members.

And regarding the template. Well ,I wasn't referring to "your" project template, but to mine actually. I was referring to your words where you agreed to "a single loop design" and I was just asking if you are talking about something that I posted earlier in this thread? Since your template is a confidential one, you can look at mine and give your comments if it's something similar to what you mean, or something else. As I said, the updated template according to my project application, is here (SSMDesign.vi and related controls in post no. 6). May be you can say from these, if it's like what you're talking about.

Actually i also should be keeping this for confidential, I'm sharing practically what I'm doing. But I think it's ok for this community, if someone may get ideas, since I have to clear my doubts. 🙂

Appreciate your help.

Hi Partha,

and the query remains open. I responded to that point also.

Normally, when you configure the event case for a Ctl, you can see/read the live/updated/current control value from the New Value node that you can see on the left side of the ES border.

Hope it solves Ur query...

Yes, Partha, this node I saw while I systematically started learning LabVIEW, but this is not of my help in the given case. Because, I am trying to check the value of a third control/indicator (not the one whose event we are running). I have used local variable, but that doesn't show the updated value. Is it supposed to be like that or something's wrong. I appreciated though that you have referred to my original query.

In the comment I said about the other query, because in that I am using "New Value" node of the event structure, but in this case it's not going to help.

Looking to hear from you for the two posts.

Thanks ahead!
